The Village Telephone Box

For many years the Village was home to two telephone boxes, one being at the bottom of Warningcamp Hill and the other at the top of the Village. Both were decommissioned and removed by BT as part of their program to do so country-wide.

Their removal provoked some concern about the importance of preserving this piece of history. Inspired by alternative uses in other communities, the task of trying to secure one was undertaken.

In 2022,a K6 telephone box returned to the Village in a new position.
